Why Two-Factor Authentication Matters for Your Business
In today’s digital world, passwords alone aren’t enough to protect your business. At PayGenius, we process payments for your businesses across sectors and we know how important security is to maintaining trust and business continuity.
That is why we are rolling out Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on our platform.
What Is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security when logging into your account. Instead of relying only on your password, 2FA asks for something you know (your password) and something you have (like a mobile device or authentication app).
So even if your password is compromised, your account stays protected.
Rollout Timeline
2FA will be available on an opt-in basis starting now. We encourage all users to activate it as soon as possible.
To strengthen platform-wide security, 2FA will become mandatory for all PayGenius users from 1 August 2025.
Why You Should Care
Payment fraud and phishing attacks are on the rise. According to global trends, attackers are targeting small and medium-sized businesses more than ever. Enabling 2FA significantly reduces your risk.
With 2FA enabled:
Your customer data is safer
Your funds are more secure
Your reputation stays intact
How It Works
2FA is supported via one of many authentication apps like Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Twilio, DUO,...
Log in to your account settings
Choose “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”
Scan the QR code with your app
Enter the code generated on your phone
You’re protected
You’ll be asked to enter a new code each time you log in the platform.
Take Action Today
Go beyond passwords. Strengthen your security.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication and protect what matters most — your business and your customers.
